GENERALITIES

The ECOWAS Commission adopted in 2013 Regulation C / REG.17 / 12/13 adopting the rules for the organization of the ECOWAS Quality Award. The first edition of the Prize will be organized with the technical and financial support Of the " West Africa Quality System" Program (WAQSP) of the ECOWAS Commission, implemented by UNIDO and financed By the EU. The award ceremony for the prize-winners is planned for the 30^th of June 2017. This consultation is being launched for the design and production of the trophies to be awarded to the winners of the awards during the ceremony.

OBJECTIVES

The ECOWAS Quality Award aims at giving precedence to the best organizations in the region by rewarding efforts to improve Quality products and services within the region. The Specific objectives of this Award are as follows:

  - Support the effort of the promotion of the quality approach at the national and regional level;

- Encourage the use of regional integration tools;

- Incite organizations to have good governance and sustainable performance;

- Promote excellence in the field of quality management.

To achieve these objectives, five (5) awards were created:

- RESOURCES MANAGEMENT
- STAKEHOLDERS ORIENTATION
